The River Talks 2017 PNN footage



The River Talks this year with schools from all around the Glenn Innes area. We explained how the Maker Space was making Weta hotels to help with our kōrero of  Kaitiakitanga i ngā wā katoa

We enjoyed hearing about other schools' projects to help the Omaru creek and loved the music from Tonga, The Cook Islands and Aotearoa.

The River Talks

A highlight from Wednesday's presentation at the Omaru River. 
This performer came from Tonga with two others. She and another woman sang from the trees while a man sang at the bottom of the tree playing a beautiful sounding drum and guitar.

 We look forward to visiting and sharing our Weta Hotels again tomorrow!
