EVENTS Te Oro Events UP & COMING 11th and 12th May Shot Bro (Koha entry - Theatre Production) From multiple award-winning actor, writer, Rob Mokaraka, using his utility belt of tools like stand-up comedy, expert dance moves, mime and puppetry, Rob unfolds his depression in an entertaining yet insightful way, shining the light on a traumatic event - you will hear why he ended up being Shot Bro. Shot Bro - Confessions of a Depressed Bullet (Thurs) Shot Bro - Confessions of a Depressed Bullet (Fri) 13th May Te Oro Birthday (Free) We've been open 2 years and it's time to celebrate! We are throwing open the doors and showcasing the talent of our wonderful students, their artist tutors and the community. Te Oro 2nd Birthday 26 May - 3 June Samoan Language and Art Week (Free) The week is a chance for all New Zealanders to celebrate the Samoan culture and language. Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa is also a time to focus on encouraging more people to use and learn Gagana Samoa The Orator : Movie Screening (1 June, 4 pm - 6 pm) Three Wise Cousins Movie Screening 26 May - 4 June Youth Week (Free or low cost - more events to be confirmed) Youth Week is a nationwide festival of events organised by young New Zealanders to celebrate the talents, passion and success of local young people. Eastweek: GLOW Dance Party Eastweek: Movie Screening of Moana 1st - 8th July  Matariki Light Trail (Free or Low Cost) For one week, take a magical journey along a flax lined pathway among thousands of twinkling fairy lights. Local performers will share their talent and the final night will include a community concert with a spectacular fireworks display.
